Teeing off for charity

Majuba Rotary Club hosted its annual golf day on Saturday at Newcastle Golf Club.

Majuba Rotary Chairperson, Johann Wagner, said the response from the community was phenomenal.

“We had approximately 148 players, which is about 50 per cent more than last year.”

Mr Wagner said the total amount of approximately R150 000 raised on the day, would be going towards charitable organisations.

“This was our biggest fund-raiser of the year and we will be looking at donating funds to various organisations, such as those dealing in polio and other initiatives.”

Mr Wagner thanked the community for all its support.
