THE Northern District Senior Singles was held in Vryheid on Saturday, October 17.
The competition was well attended with players from as far as Volksrust and Newcastle.
The winner of the Ladies’ Senior Singles was Margaret Van Heusden and the Men’s Senior Singles winner was Colin Brodryck from Newcastle.
Our Sponsored Wimpy Day was held on Wednesday, October 22 and we had a record field of 22 players. It was a day of great fun and the winning team was Margaret Van Heusden, Dries Els and Jan De Lange. The winner of the lucky draw was Trevor Schefermann. Thanks to Estelle Dubber, our competition secretary. It was her first and she did a really great job. Huge thanks to Elfrieda from Wimpy for her generous sponsorship.
