No pumpkins behind the wheel

Another Oval-tacular weekend came to a close on Saturday.

Another Oval-tacular weekend came to a close on Saturday.

On October 31, racers put on a dazzling Halloween display, to the cheers of many fans who braved the witching hour.

The following results were brewed on the evening:

Boet Buys claimed first position in the tin tops division, ahead of Henk van Rooyen.

In the two-litre class, Norman Forbes, Gert Gericke and Shaukat Khan filled the podium positions, for gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Cathleen de Jager continued her form in the ladies class, ahead of Zaakira Khan and Sameera Ameer.

In the 1660s, it was more of the same for Roux van der Colff, edging out Tiaan Buys and Imraan Ameer to secure pole position.

However, Tiaan clinched victory in the rookies class, ahead of CJ Myburgh.

Ali Jamaloodeen found the right line in the 1600s, fending off Dhula Jamaloodeen and Shaukat Khan past the chequered flag.

Racing the hot rods, Christopher Clark was king of the hill.

Francois Greyvenstein and Hendrik Labuschagne finished second and third respectively, in the same division.

Last, but certainly not least, were the zippy go-karts.

Mirroring earlier success behind the wheel, Ruaan Labuschagne ended in first place, ahead of Michael White and John van Rooyen.
