Bowlers win a “pot of gold”

At the time of writing, it is Tuesday 10.30am and Irene Ross has just heard the “Piet-My-Vrou” at her house! Watch the skies – it’s going to pour! Miracles do happen – essential to preserve our greens!

More good news… Pradeep Singh guided Donovan Fischer and Peter Landsdale to wipe out the other “pot-hunters” in Estcourt and came home with the “Pot-o-gold” prize. Well done, guys! Rodney Perrin and his team did very well in Dundee to achieve seventh place from 36 teams! We must admire all the bowlers who put themselves on the greens in the searing heat, as it takes real stamina!

The Tops Business League will have a holiday on Wednesday while everyone plays tabs-in and celebrates Diwali, but all will get together on the 18th to get to the finals of this exciting event.

Coming up on the calendar is the Harrismith Prince Arthur Tournament this weekend. Good luck and good bowling to all who are participating.

Congratulations to Pradeep Singh, who has been selected to participate in the Prelim Masters Singles Championships in Newcastle on November 28 and 29, where we wish him lots of luck.
