Vryheid Squash Club – JD on top as finals play out

On Saturday, November 14, there was a hive of activity at the Vryheid Squash Club, with the final games of the Club Championships taking place.
Well done to all who participated throughout the Club Championships. The new rankings will be up on the board next week.
A special congratulations to our new Club Champion, Jan-Daniel Kruger as well as to the winners of the different sections: Ladies: Winner: Cjaane Harstlief and Runner-up: Anneke Gerber; B-Plate: Winner: Ignis Potgieter and Runner-up: Damien Miller; B-Section: Winner: Kowie Lombard and Runner-up: Christopher Haywood; A-Plate: Winner: Yusuf Kajee and Runner-up: Jeandre Potgieter; A-Section: Winner: Jan-Daniel Kruger and Runner-up: Nickie Viljoen.
Well done to Jurgen Meyer for winning the NTT Toyota Floating Trophy for the most improved squash player of the year.

Although we are going into the more quiet time of the year, Thursday evenings are social evenings and all members or any interested squash players are welcome to join for games and a bring-and-braai afterwards. To join the club or for further information, contact Kurt Spangenberg at 082 895 5010.
