Phoenix crowned champs

Phoenix has emerged victorious from the cricket day league matches.

The league which spanned two months, saw Phoenix contend against some of the best local cricket teams.

Despite the strong competition, Phoenix quickly rose to glory by being a dominant force on the cricket pitch.

Last Saturday, Phoenix played against Paradise in the finals.

Phoenix batted first and set the pace for the game, securing 93 runs before being bowled out.

Hoping to secure the win, Paradise proceeded to bat. However, Paradise was bowled out after scoring 63 runs, putting the team in second place and leaving Phoenix the reigning champs.

The day league will start again in mid January, where teams will try to redeem themselves and oust Phoenix from the throne.
