The four teams played a round robin format, each team playing against each other.

The team of Koen Pretorius, Gert Roos, Andy Robinson and George Howell won all their games (6+12) to finish top of the log, with Fritz Botha, Erich Holm, Trevor Moore and Aspen Shaw taking second place (3+12) on a count-out from Stephen Shaw, Mike Martens, Anil Durgadin and Mike McArthur.

The Ladies’ Fours will be held at a later stage, depending on entries.

The FedAuto Summer Business League starts this Thursday evening, with a record entry of 40 teams, and teams are asked to report by 5.45pm, in order for play to start at 6pm.

The KwaZulu-Natal Country Bowls Men’s and Ladies’ Masters Singles Tournament follows on Saturday and Sunday.

A total of 12 men and 12 ladies from the District have qualified for this prestigious event, and with a number of previous winners making an appearance, bowls of a high standard should be witnessed.
