R5k haul for Round Table
Noting an overwhelming response from the community had made for a sold out golf day, he said Ncandu 86 Round Table was thankful and proud of the support of residents.
A shade over R5 000 was raised at the Round Table Golf Day on Saturday.
An ecstatic chairman, Johan Pieters commended members and organisers, Byron Bjorseth and Craig Elliot for doing ‘a stunning job’. “It was great fun and the Newcastle Advertiser was our top water table!”

“We must also congratulate Willy Clayton on his hole-in-one. “We’re really glad this achievement happened on our golf day,” Mr Pieters ended jovially.
The pairing of Malcolm and Dominic Sithole were the top golfers, amassing 47 points. Brian Swart and Pierre Uys were a close second place, also ending on 47 points but losing out in the count-out. Third was the team of Renier Terblanche and Willie Potgieter, on 45 counted-out points.
Taking the fourth and fifth positions respectively, were Alan Amos and Karel Swanepoel (45 points on count-out) and Yunus Karrim and Roy Harrypersadh (44 points on count-out).
