Golf Club Champs played in icy weather

A Division winner was Bruce Marx on 157 gross with Wilfie Laatz in second on 169 and Luke Schiever in third also on 169

Estcourt Golf Club hosted the annual Club Champs Competition this past weekend, sponsored by Mortimer Toyota Estcourt.

We had 37 brave golfers, competing in the three different divisions, over the two days in icy weather with the following results:

A Division winner was Bruce Marx on 157 gross with Wilfie Laatz in second on 169 and Luke Schiever in third also on 169.

Our B Division was won by Rajen Goodoon on a 168 gross followed by Jackson Fick in second also on 168 and M Ismail came third on 179.

The C Division was won by Viren Omardath on 182 gross with Paul Fick in second on 188 and Tuppy Schiever in third place also on 188.

Rajen Goodoon won the best nett on 140 with Viren in second on a nett of 144 and Naveen Rajcoomar with the third best nett over the two days on 149.

We would like to thank all the golfers and the Mortimer staff who braved the cold weather over the weekend to support Estcourt Golf Club.
