SUNNY RIDGE – Despite cold weather last Friday, the ArcelorMittal Soccer League continued with players braving the cold.
Rod Mill defeated Steel Plant with a score of three-one at Ferrum High School. Blast Furnace crushed Central Maintenance with a staggering score of three-nil, also at Ferrum High School sports grounds.
At Paradise Sports Grounds, Medium Mill and Coke Ovens drew one-all, while Infrastructure was defeated by Bar Mill with a score of four-one.
Materials Handling secured a one-nil win over Billet Mill at Fernwood Sports Grounds.
Admin Building and Sinter Plant faced each other at Fernwood Sports Grounds, but while the teams were determined to clinch a win, victory was not on the score card for either team. Unruly fans disrupted the match during the second half and the game will need to be replayed.
Currently, Rod Mill is sitting at the top of the log, with Blast Furnace in second place and Bar Mill in third.
