Legends scores goals well past 40 at the Paradise Sports Grounds
Legends is a soccer team for players from the age of 40 and above, and these men are not scared to play against others half their age.
PARADISE – In the sporting world, some might regard the age of 40 as the time to slow down to make way for younger contenders.
However, for some age is merely a number. This is where Legends fit in.
Legends is a soccer team for players from the age of 40 and above, and these men are not scared to play against others half their age.
The team practises every Tuesday and Thursday at Paradise Sports Grounds for their matches on Saturday afternoons.
“The main aim of this team is to show we are still fit and active,” said Veerath Dookie.
While the players are determined to enjoy themselves on the soccer grounds for as long as they can, new members are invited to join.
To introduce themselves to the community, the team played a friendly match against the municipal electrical department last Thursday.
