Rabco take Round Table Winter Warmth bowls league

The Table ladies also worked very hard and members will now be identifying all needy places and people to distribute the goods to during winter.

The Round Tablers and their ladies with that huge mound of much-needed blankets and clothing that was donated during the bowls league.
Rabco claimed top spot: Bjorn Talanda, Rob Burns, Taryn Bierbaum, Shawn Caldecott and Vanessa Burns.
Dreykon was stone last: Lefty van Dyk (Skip), Roger Flanagan, Danie and Rocco Coetzer.

Last Thursday saw the last round of the “The Round Table Winter Warmth” bowls challenge being played. What a finish to an awesome four weeks of fun bowls and fundraising for such a worthy cause. Team “RABCO” didn’t manage to make it seven from seven – that’s what happens when the boss watches you! However, they did manage to come out victors of the league, edging out team Knight Riders by three shots.
The final leader board was: First team RABCO 12+20, second Knight Riders 12+17 and in third place Amigos on 9+15.
Once again, a huge thank you to all who participated and to all those that contributed with blankets, tin food, donations and for the meals. Round Table also thanked Lionel and Mandy Shawe, Nems and Farmers Agri Care for the food and all the businesses for challenging each other with blankets and food. The Table ladies also worked very hard and members will now be identifying all needy places and people to distribute the goods to during winter.
Any potential new bowlers are welcome to contact Sylvia Malan or any committee member to try out their hand at this wonderful game. Telephone: 081 046 8140.
