Nest bowlers come out on top, but soften the blow with great hospitality
Only four teams participated, but that did not deter these stalwarts and they all played to win
Last Saturday saw the gentlemen of the older generation travel to The Nest and compete in the Midlands Senior Men’s Fours Tournament. Sadly, only four teams participated, but that did not deter these stalwarts and they all played to win.
Unfortunately, I was unable to be there to watch these seasoned bowlers, but I have it on record that, as usual, The Nest treated these men to great weather, good food and their great hospitality. I am convinced that The Nest does this for all the tournaments they host, the reason being to soften the blow – as The Nest bowlers normally come out on top. This happened once again, when the experience (and age) of Theunis Fraser, Stewart Longmore, Dave Abraham and Dave Goldsworth gave these bowlers the title.
Runners-up were Clyde Newton and his team.
Well done to everybody and thanks again to The Nest for hosting this Midlands tournament.
