The Department of Sport and Recreation has kicked off their Estcourt Volleyball League under the Club Development Programme.
Our core mandate is to ensure that children are participating; therefore we are encouraging learners to come together and develop their skills in volleyball.
This league focuses on the under 17 age category and six clubs have committed themselves to the league, which will take place on Wednesdays from 1.15pm.

As part of the programme, we want to provide access to and extend opportunities by increasing participation in sport, motivate communities to develop active lifestyles; and ensure that those athletes with the talent are channelled into the competitive areas of sport.
Department of Sport and Recreation officials, Kercia Ramiah and Themba Tshabalalala would like to extend their gratitude to Estcourt High School for hosting these games as well as the managers and coaches of the clubs for their support and commitment to the league.
The next round will take place on August 23 at Estcourt High School.
