Local brothers prepare for SA Championships
Cullen will be up against the top riders in SA, in his first year racing in the Elite category
The Downhill SA Championships will take place in April this year, and local riders Struan and Cullen McMaster have been training hard.
Unfortunately, six weeks ago, Struan crashed in one of his practice runs, breaking his wrist. So he is still unsure as to whether he will be able to compete.
Cullen will be up against the top riders in SA, in his first year racing in the Elite category.
The event will take place at the Hartbeespoort Adventure & Trail Park.
The riders are extremely excited, as this is the first cable-way shuttle system to be used in South Africa.

Normally, bike and rider are shuttled by vehicle to the starting point of the race. However, with the new Harties Cable-way, they will literally attach their bikes to the outside of the cable car, hop in and enjoy the scenery on the way up the mountain.
The local brothers participated in their first Downhill National for 2018 in Paarl, Cape Town, on Sunday, January 28, which we reported on in a previous article.
They continue to make Ladysmith proud with their great achievements and talent, and are wished all the best for the SA Championships.
