Annual Battlefields Golf tournament tees off at Dundee Golf Club
Louis's rise to the top is proof that the smaller golf clubs in the country are host to a pool of talent
Golfers are hard at work as the 31st annual Battlefields Golf Weekend teed off today in perfect conditions.
The greens and fairways have recovered from years of drought and golfers only hazard now are the deep water traps!

Louis Albertse Jnr of Dundee who has just qualified to turn professional teed off with dad, Louis Snr, this morning along with Brian du Toit and Barry Sandy.

Louis is taking a few days off and teeing off with a plus 5 handicap means that he owes the Dundee course a few shots! He is to soon fly out to Zambia and Zimbabwe to compete in the Sunshine Circuit before the circuit moves to South Africa.
Long term, Louis hopes to join the European tour but there is still a long road ahead and plenty of work for this young, dedicated man!
The golf continues throughout the weekend.
