Cricket tournament to be played in memory of “Lytie” Hansa

The Northern District Cricket Union (NDCU) has some great fixtures for this weekend.

Here are the fixtures for April 7 and 8…

IGH HANSA MEMORIAL SIX-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT:

The long-awaited six-a-side tournament is scheduled to begin this coming Saturday at Settlers Park.

The tournament is being played in memory of the late IGH “Lytie” Hansa, honorary life president of the Northern District Cricket Union and a stalwart of cricket.

The tournament, which is to be held over four weekends, will see each team play against opposition teams twice.

The finals will be contested between the teams occupying the first and second spot after all league round matches have been played.

All matches are to be played at Settlers Park. A request is made to all teams to ensure that their respective matches begin at the scheduled time. Teams arriving late shall have overs deducted.

2.30pm – K&L Cricket Club vs Callies Cricket Club;
3.30pm – K&L Cricket Club vs Kings XI Cricket Club;
4.30pm – Kings XI Cricket Club vs Wanderers Cricket Club.

IC ASMAL T20 TOURNAMENT:
On Sunday, the last two league games are to be played before the finals.
Sunday 9.30am – DC Cricket Club vs Wanderers Cricket Club at Settlers Park.
2.30pm – Kings XI Cricket Club vs Callies Cricket Club at Settlers Park.
