Local lasses excel at SAPS National Champs
PG Ntshingila achieved first position for hammer throw as well as shot put, receiving 2 gold medals
Senior admin clerks from Ladysmith SAPS, PG Ntshingila and NA Khoza, were at the SAPS National Athletics Championships which were held at the Tswane Academy in Pretoria between March 19 and 24, representing the Uthukela Cluster.
Ntshingila participated in the ‘field events’ – hammer throw, shot put and javelin. She achieved first position for hammer throw as well as shot put, receiving gold medals for both events.
She also received a silver medal in the javelin event, in which she was placed second.
Khoza is the SAPS KZN Athletics team co-ordinator. She participated as an official, where she was awarded a medal for being a loyal official and for the fact that the KZN team was placed third overall.
