Bringing the trophy back to Klipbank

Bob and Liefie won the tournament and brought the trophy back to Midlands; and to Klipbank

Wednesday evening saw a lot more people arrive to play the Tabs-In League. Once again, it was a fun-filled eight ends played and thanks to Bob and Des, there were toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches to take the hunger pangs away. Des and Bob donated these and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them, so many thanks.

As mentioned last week, Bob and Liefie travelled to Zululand to play in the District Mixed Pairs Play-Offs.

What can you say but really well done, as these two won the tournament and brought the trophy back to Midlands.
More importantly, they brought the trophy home to Klipbank.

Congratulations and now all you have to do is win the National Play-Offs in June.

This Friday will see a large number of members and others descend on the Country Club to take part in their 50th celebrations. It sounds like we are going to have an hilarious day of bowls, so we look forward to seeing you all on the greens.

On Sunday, teams will be travelling to Harrismith to play in their fours competition, which will be far more serious, so good bowling to all.

On Tuesday, Klipbank will be having a sponsored tabs-in starting at 10am, so come and enjoy the last public holiday we will be having for the next few weeks.

Now for the May birthdays. I must not forget anyone, because believe me, May babies can moan!

Happy birthday to: Barbara Elworthy, Des Maartens, Shenaaz Singh and Lorraine Lee – please note, all ladies! May you all have a wonderful year ahead.
