‘Pro’ Shakeel easy winner of golf mug
There were no fewer than nine 2 Clubs recorded on the day with four being recorded on both the 4th and 12th holes.
Shakeel Kalideen played exceptional golf on Saturday to finish an easy winner of the Dundee Country Club Men’s A division Monthly Mug after shooting rounds of 35 and 32.
Shakeel finished four strokes under par to finish with a gross score of 67.
Cyril Mkhwanazi won the Men’s B division Mug with a net score of 68 while Lorien De Wit was the winner of the Ladies B division with a net 69, with Hlengiwe Hlongwane taking home the ladies C division Mug.
There were no fewer than nine 2 Clubs recorded on the day with four being recorded on both the 4th and 12th holes. V Donaldson, W Langa, A Mbatha and C Mkhwanazi all making a 2 Club on the 4th, while A Mbatha, M Bradbury, Y Govender and S Kunene recording their 2 Club at the 12th.
Gene Robson made his 2 Club on the 8th.
Golfers are to please diarise Saturday, June 2, as the club will be holding a 27 holes challenge between two teams and are looking for 48 members to compete in what will be a fun-filled day on the course followed by a spit braai for supper.
This weekend’s fixtures: Friday 11: hole Chicken Run, and Saturday’s club Competition will a 4 B.B.B.S format.
