During the first leg of the league on Saturday (May 12), the teams played on various fields across Newcastle, and after four extreme games the results were as follows:
Over the weekend the annual ArcelorMittal soccer league kicked off with a bang as eight of the companies’ best teams battled it out for the cup.

During the first leg of the league on Saturday (May 12), the teams played on various fields across Newcastle, and after four extreme games the results were as follows:
– Blast Furnace 1-0 Infrastructure at Arbor Park
– Rod Mill 3-2 Materials handling at Paradise
– Admin 3-1 Billet Mill at Paradise
– Bar Mill 3-3 Sinter Plant at Fernwood.
The fixtures and venues for the recent games were as follows:
Medium Mill vs. Coke ovens at Arborpark sports grounds
Steel Plant vs. Central Maintenance in Paradise
Materials Handling vs. Blast Furnace in Paradise
Infrastructure vs. Billet Mill in Fernwood.
