Sentraal’s seconds reach NKZN finals

Sentraal Rugby Club’s second side have made it into the Northern KZN finals and will play Piet Retief away on Saturday in the final.
Sentraal out-muscled Vryheid’s second side in a thriller played at Cecil Emmit park on Saturday. It was a ding-dong affair from the start with both teams exchanging scoring opportunities. Vryheid scored first but failed to convert the try.

Sentraal hit back with first Kevin Ntazni dotting down which was converted by Henry Liversage to give our lads a 7-5 lead. However, Vryheid scored again and then Sentraal to give the home team a narrow 15-14 advantage at the break. The second half went the same way as the game and reached a nail-biting end. With Vryheid failing to convert any of their six tries and Sentraal scoring five tries, Kevin Ntanzi (two), Waldo Herbst, Ian Mveli and Cas Ntuli (one each) and Liversage converting four, Sentraal were 33-30 victors.
