Amazulu to scout at Build It U13 Festival on Saturday
There will be a host of prizes and giveaways for the local teams and everyone walks out of the stadium a winner.
The third edition of the Build It U13 Festival this weekend will help build sporting stars of the future as soccer and netball players take to the Oval on Saturday.
Under 13 soccer clubs from around the area will do battle for ultimate glory with medals, trophies, bags and a lot more going to the winners. An added boost this year will give soccer fans a glimpse to watch the best in KZN when the Amazulu FC Reserves take on a locally selected team from Dundee. This will be at 2pm on Saturday as a curtain raiser for the u/13 final.
Amazulu will also use this as a scouting opportunity and hope to find the next Siyabonga Nomvete from Dundee.
This year’s event will also include a netball competition to ensure that girls also have a chance to compete on the day.
“Locals, come and support your schools in this competition and let’s make a difference to the upgrade of your favorite school. Schools will be judged on a host of activities and support that they bring to the grounds.

The lifeblood of our organisation is to offer the customer the very best service at competitive prices and to also re-invest in the community that helps with our growth. The tournament will be a festival and all are urged to come and support the kids,” said Kegan Speirs, owner of Nobungani Build It.
This event, which is a national SAFA programme, will be hosted in partnership with SAFA, the Endumeni Municipality, Amazulu FC, the Department of Health and the Courier.
The festival kicks off on Friday, July 27, with Amazulu hosting a coaching clinic from 2.30 to 4pm to instill the basic principals of high-level coaching.
This will be overseen by Ronnie Moroka, technical director of Amazulu and coach for former Amzulu player, Ayanda Mkhize.
“Join us and be part of creating a stronger soccer nation through coaching empowerment,” Kegan told the Courier. He predicts a tough battle between the youngsters on Saturday.

The store will also be running a schools supporter competition where the school with the best support wins building material to the value of R3000 from Nobungani Build It. “Locals, come and support your schools in this competition and let’s make a difference to the upgrade of your favorite school. Schools will be judged on a host of activities and support that they bring to the grounds.

“Supporters, you also stand a chance to win some amazing prizes: a gas heater (the winner of the Build It/Courier online competition will be announced on Saturday), watches, balls and an autographed Amazulu FC 2018 PSL signed shirt – but you must be there to win.”
