AmaZulu reserves stroll to victory at the Dundee Oval

It has been a while since ‘pro’ football has been seen at the Dundee Oval but there was plenty of silky skills to savour when the AmaZulu Reserve team played against an Endumeni Invitation XI as part of the Build It Under 13 football and netball tournament.
The AmaZulu lads gave out balls to the excited youngsters in the grandstand before taking on the Invitation team that was kitted out in a purple strip. The AmaZulu team’s passing, pressing and calmness on the ball was indicative of the skills honed by the correct training.

The Invitation team never gave up but found themselves 2-0 down at half time before letting in another two goals to give the Usuthu a 4-0 victory. The local team always harassed the professionals and did not let themselves down. Hopefully this was just the first of more to come into terms of seeing top football in Dundee.
