Rotarians want 80 teams to roll up for tournament
Teams are allowed to have up to a maximum of two registered bowlers.
Following on from last year’s highly successful Rotary Dundee Business League, the funds from which money was raised to buy a much-need patient transport vehicle, local Rotarians are aiming to have 80 teams enter this year’s tournament, starting on September 3.
“Last year there was a whopping 62 teams that entered and everyone looked forward to the spring evenings at the bowling club,” said Rotary’s Philip Hawkins.
The patient transport vehicle is a great boon to patients seeking medical treatment that cannot be done in Dundee.
“We hope to have 80 teams entering. Teams of four can be made up of friends, colleagues, sports club member congregations and etc. The entry fee is R600 per team and games will be played from 6pm on either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday – the days will be confirmed once all entries are in. Teams may specify which days would suit them.”
