Bowlers show great spring spirit in Vryheid
The Rotary Business League is in full swing and it's great to see so many Dundonians that have embraced this initiative and made themselves available to play in this special business league.
This past weekend, four Dundee teams travelled to Vryheid to compete in Vryheid’s annual Spring Tournament.
Unfortunately, the weather was not very kind with a hail storm at lunchtime on Saturday and an icy cold wind that howled throughout Sunday. The bowls played and the fellowship among the players made up for the poor conditions experienced. Des Johnson and his team played brilliantly throughout the weekend and ended up in fourth position overall and also found themselves winning the floating trophy for team spirit. Congratulations to Des and his team, they have certainly made the club extremely proud.
