Newcastle swimmers make waves at Durban competition
More than 800 swimmers from across South Africa competed in the championships, including locals Minette Janse van Vuuren and Ruan Jansen van Vuuren.
From October 4 to 7, two swimmers from Aqua Adrenaline competed in the KZN Seagulls Winter Short Course Championships.
This competition was held at the Kings Park Pool in Durban.
More than 800 swimmers from across South Africa competed in the championships, including locals Minette Janse van Vuuren and Ruan Jansen van Vuuren.

They both swam some personal best times.
In addition to gaining valuable experience against top ranked competitors, Minette also obtained top 10 finishes in the 100-metre freestyle and 50m freestyle.
