Rugby players try their hand at cricket during Six-a-side tournament
Friday night saw many spectators gathering at the rugby stands, to show their support for the teams in the newly formed league and to witness some thrilling cricket action.
Boschpick Newcastle Highlanders and the Newcastle Cricket Club have joined forces.

These two sporting powerhouses collaborated on a new Six-a-Side Cricket League, which started on Friday (October 5) at the Highlanders home turf at the Arbor Park Sports Grounds.
Friday night saw many spectators gathering at the rugby stands, to show their support for the teams in the newly formed league and to witness some thrilling cricket action.
The league continues every Friday evening at 5.30pm over the next couple of months, with the final round to be played on December 14.
