Selections finalised for the KZN 2018 Wheelchair Basketball Team

Congratulations to Lungelo Nolwazi Mfusi for becoming a first woman with albinism to join the KZN Schools Wheelchair Basketball Team

The Wheelchair Basketball team 2018 had it training camp and verification from November 9 to 11.

This was held at the Royal Hotel and the team was accommodated at Garden Court Umhlanga. The training was at the Tongaat Sport Centre.

The team is made up of six learners from Open Air Special School (Durban), nine learners from KwaZamokuhle Special School (Estcourt), three learners from Harding Special School (Harding), two learners from Bumbisizwe Special School (Newcastle) and four learners’ from Mason Lincoln Special School (Durban).

The team is also very proud of the two captains that were chosen Lerato Mbhele (Open Air) girl’s captain and Mukelwa Dlamini (KwaZamokuhle) boy’s captain.

Congratulations to Lungelo Nolwazi Mfusi (Open Air) for becoming a first woman with albinism to join the KZN Schools Wheelchair Basketball Team, not just for competing or winning but for showing everyone what it means to be the best you can be.
