Dundee golfers triumph in Northern KZN A league
Congratulations to the Dundee "A" team of Henk Booysen, Sifiso Kunene and Pierre Booysen for winning the A division competition.
On Sunday the curtain came down on the N.KZN Men’s golf league with the annual inter-club competition and the Annual General Meeting being held at Vryheid G.C.
Congratulations to the Dundee “A” team of Henk Booysen, Sifiso Kunene and Pierre Booysen for winning the A division competition.
The two Dundee “B” teams finished second and third respectively in their division while the Frog team finished third in their section. The competition was followed by the Annual General Meeting of the N. KZN Men’s Golf Union and Dundee Country Club’s Henk Booysen and Barry Sandy were re-elected onto the Executive Committee for 2019 as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
Veteran golfer Billy Francis took home the prize for Best Gross score of 76
Saturday’s Monthly Mug Medal competition for December saw twenty-eight players taking part and it was Cyril Mkhwanazi who won the Men’s ‘A’ division Mug while Willie Maritz took home the Men’s ‘B’ division Mug after recording a net 67. Vlooi Slabbert won the Ladies ‘B’ division with a net 69 and Naomi Van Huyssteen won the Ladies ‘C’ division Mug.
Veteran golfer Billy Francis took home the prize for Best Gross score of 76. Vlooi Slabbert was the only golfer to record a 2 Club on the day, while her mother Lorien De Wit won the jackpot with eleven points.
This week’s fixtures; Dave’s Wednesday 11 holes competition, Friday Chicken Run, and on Saturday the Club competition will be an I.P.S. format.
