An amazing year of bowls comes to an end

Prize-Giving
This past Friday evening, the Bowling Club hosted its annual prize-giving and year-end function.
This prestigious event gives the bowlers and their partners an evening to sit back and relax and appreciate the achievements made throughout the year.
The bowlers were treated to a delicious sit-down meal courtesy of Elrine Wait with the ever-quirky Greg officiating the evening. Most improved male player went to Jacques Bierbaum with Taryn Bierbaum being awarded the most improved female player of the year. Most committed player of the year went to Sheryl Hesom with Anna Müller taking the “stirrer of the year”.
The President’s award was shared by Willie Nel and Sylvia Malan for their service and dedication to the Club. The player of the year was awarded to Nan Roos for her many achievements made on the bowling green throughout the year. Special awards went to Terry Worley and Kevin Ross from the Courier for their continued support and excellent coverage the Club receives on a weekly basis.
Congratulations to all winners. May 2019 be another successful year for the Club’s bowlers.
Challenge Night
This promises to be a very exciting evening. It all happens this coming Thursday evening from 6pm.
Challenges planned for the evening will be Pa en Seun vs Regular Oke en ‘n Bierbaum and Langfontein vs BB Transport. There’ll be a bring and braai after play. Come along, challenge a friend and enjoy the evening.
Toy Run
The Bowling Club will be hosting a Toy Run on Saturday, December 15. Come down to the Club, bring along a toy and help the bowling club spread some Christmas cheer to the children at the hospital and crisis centre. Play will commence at 2:30pm. Visitors welcome.
