Bowlers faced the sweltering heat at the weekend, and took part in the first FedAuto Meat Competition of the year at the Newcastle Bowling Club.

Bowlers cheered each other on with constructive criticism. The main prize was won by Alice Howe, Mike Martens, Sue Hutchinson and Johan le Roux.
The Northern District Men and Ladies Pairs Competition will take place at the Dundee Bowling Club this weekend with a number of Newcastle teams competing.
