Last Friday, Colita played a T20 day night game against Macksons XI. Macksons won the toss and sent in the Colita team to set the target.

In a game of two halves, Macksons started off solidly with both fielders and bowlers keeping the pressure on and restricting the run rate. Colita, trying to keep their wickets along with trying to penetrate the field, were in deep trouble by the 10th over with only 41 runs on the board and four wickets down.

In would come Romendran, scoring 35 (38) and Amith, scoring 26 (22). These two would largely be responsible for the rescue effort that had Colita rack up another 110 runs off the remaining 10 overs ending up with a score of 151 for seven wickets in 20 overs faced.

Best bowlers for Macksons were Tahla with two wickets for 24 runs in his four over spell and Mohammed taking one wicket for 21 runs in four overs bowled.

With Macksons putting together scores of 170 and 180 this season, Colita knew they were in for a game and needed to strike early and continuously if they were to restrict the Macksons team and keep their unbeaten record for 2019 on track.

This would not take long as in form bowlers Amith and Suvedh needed only a few balls to get their sights set in.
Amith would strike first; removing the dangerous opening three in his first and second over, backed up by Suvedh who took care of business at the other end also removing a few top order batsmen in his opening few overs.
With a sense that the early blows and the increasing run rate had the Macksons team rattled, the Colita captain would decide to continue with his strike bowlers.

Colita bowlers now with their tails up took favour to the lower order batsman and concentrating on bowling fast and straight, wrapped up the game in the sixth over with Macksons all out for eight runs giving Colita the win by 143 runs.
