Memorable touch down in Ireland for Wikus Jacobs
The boys got to see the Aviva Stadium where some of Ireland's biggest rugby teams have made touchdowns
18-year-old Wikus Jacobs returned from his rugby tour in Ireland on December 10. The lad and his team had an unforgettable trip, after lots of fundraising and savings during 2018.

Despite the cold and wet weather, the team’s spirits were not dampened. With the help of their coach and the hard work put in by his team of 14 other boys, they managed to win two of the three games they played.
“It was an experience I will never forget. It was extremely cold but the people there were very friendly and very proud of their sport. They play hard at it as well! We bonded very well with the other team in true South Africans spirit,” explained Wikus.
It was not all work and no play. The team got to go sightseeing, socialise with the people of Ireland and taste the local cuisine.
The boys got to see the Aviva Stadium where some of Ireland’s biggest rugby teams have made touchdowns.
The team stayed in Dublin for a short while and then in Galway as well. Wikus was over the moon to have scored the first try during their second game.
As an aspiring professional rugby player, Wikus will have this experience forever etched in his heart.
