Sarel Cilliers Rugby Fest kicks off with some great action

The Sarel Cilliers Rugby Weekend kicked off on Friday afternoon with plenty of on-field action. Glencoe Primary was in action against Egerton while a Sarel XV defeated Amajuba High 24-10. Visiting schools from Felixton. Welkom, Newcastle, Vryheid and other towns were also in action.

One of the games of the day was Dundee High’s under 15 team’s 26-12 defeat of Amanzimtoti High’s under 15 team – a tough encounter that at one stage was locked at 12-12 until the Dundee team broke away with three quick-fire tries.

DHS’s under 15 team had a thrilling encounter against Amanzimtoti under 15.

A lot of respect towards each other after DHS’s hard-fought 26-12 win.

The games carried on until the evening with a Sarel Old Boys team up against a Sentraal team. The action continues today:
