Cheers to golf winners Phil and KP
Friday's 10 holes Chicken Run attracted eleven players which was won by Blessing Chiwaya on 23 individual points with Lorien De Wit winning the count out on 19 points to finish second
This past Saturday saw a good field of 55 golfers taking part at Dundee Country Club in the first of four qualifying events for the International Windhoek Lager Pairs competition.
It might be ironic, but the better ball competition was won by none other than Dundee C.C. most loyal Windhoek Lager supporter, KP Smith, and his partner, Philip Vlok after scoring 48 points. The pair will now compete in the Regional finals in July, and should they finish in the top 24, they will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Windhoek in Namibia to play in the National Finals in September.
Finishing second on Saturday was the pairing of John Zulu and Hlengiwe Hlongwane on 47 points, with the father and son pairing of Henk and Pierre Booysen taking the third place with 46 points. The next qualifying event for Dundee C.C. members will take place on Saturday, March 23.
There were a number of players who recorded a 2 Club on the day, and they were; Kevin Donaldson and S.D. Ndlovu on No.4, Brent Fraser & Kallie Roets on No.8, Gene Robson, Walter Du Plessis and Robert Khumalo on No.12, Cyril Mkhwanazi on No.16 with John Zulu making a 2 Club on both the 4th and 8th holes.

This week’s fixtures; Dave’s Wednesday Competition, Friday’s Chicken Run and Saturday’s Club Competition will be an Individual Stableford format.
