Bowlers challenge for novice title

The Club Novice Singles was played last Saturday. It was a beautiful crisp summers morning after the wonderful rain that fell over the Dundee area on Friday evening.

Six members entered their names into the hat in the hopes of being crowned Novice Singles Champion. The players were divided into two sections of three with the Hesoms all being drawn against each other in what turned out to be the Hesom Challenge which was won by Sheryl.

After the two sections were completed, it was Sheryl and Taryn who went head to head in the final. After 23 tightly contested ends, it was Sheryl who came out on top, beating Taryn 21-18 and therefore winning herself her first trophy and the title of Novice Singles Champ! Congratulations Sheryl and congratulations to Karin and Cronje who competed in their first singles competition, the Club hopes to see you on the greens a lot more.

Fedauto Business League
Two games were played this past Thursday evening with some moving and shaking amongst the top four on the leader board.
The leader board after the seven games as follows: The Meyers 11 +55; Sages 11 +14; Brokkies 10 +21; Tristar 10 +18.
The Fedauto Business League will draw to a close this Thursday with only one game to be played after which prize giving will take place as well as a braai. Come down to the Club and enjoy the evening with us. In case you forget, braai packs will be on sale at R50/pack. The Club looks forward to seeing you all again on Thursday.

Prelim Masters
The Club would like to wish its members, Des Johnson, Jacques Bierbaum and Taryn Bierbaum good bowling as they compete in the Prelim Masters Competition this coming weekend in Newcastle. Keep the Dundee flag flying high.
