Help make Bongani’s marathon dream come true
The club are trying to raise funds so that Bongani can compete in his first Two Oceans Marathon
Bongani Sabela, Biggarsberg Athletics Club’s (BBAC) own ironman has his sights set on conquering the Two Oceans Marathon.
The Two Oceans Marathon, described as the world’s most beautiful marathon, takes place on April 20 in Cape Town.
Bongani has a chance to compete in this year’s marathon, but needs help your help in doing so.
BBAC are trying to raise funds so that he can jet off to Cape Town for the race for first time in his life. R6 000 is needed to get him there. That will include his transport and accommodation in Cape Town for the weekend.
“I am training very hard for Comrades and I believe that if I run the Two Oceans Marathon, that will better prepare me to finish Comrades in a good time. I am very very excited, it feels like I’m dreaming,” Bongani said.
“It will be my first time in Cape Town and taking on the Two Oceans and I want to show everyone there that in Dundee, KZN, there is the Ironman, Bongani Sabela representing Biggarsberg AC.”
