Karateka prepare for championship bouts
Table officials, judges and referees will be preparing for the competition at a special session on Friday (March 1) ahead of Saturday’s championships.

Karateka of Northern KwaZulu-Natal JKA have trained long and hard for the highly anticipated NKZN JKA Championships, which takes takes place on Saturday (March 2) at the Farmers Hall.
A total of nine affiliate clubs – equating to a total of 200 karateka – are hoping for a place in the top four, which would earn them a spot in the KZN team.
This team will compete at the National Championships in May this year.
“Good luck to all these participants,” says Sensei Johan Swart of NKZN JKA.
