Team Biggarsberg have flown the flag high once again for the area, this time at the Pietermaritzburg Marathon.
The athletes performed extremely well, despite it being a warm day.

The results for Team Biggarsberg athletes were as follows:

Bongani Sabela – 2:43:31. Bongani finished in position 21 overall. His coach Justin Woolven from Pretoria was also there and was extremely pleased with Bongani’s performance.
Sipho Phungula – 3:05:12; Steve Mkhize – 3:17:01; Lindani Sangweni – 3:17:48; Ketha Mchunu – 3:18:49; Sabatha Ndhlovu – 3:22:14 – Sabatha is a new member who competed in his very first marathon, completing an amazing run in the process.
Zwelihle Duma – 3:49:59; Pat Sibisi – 3:52:25; Zwelakhe Msimang – 3:56:24; Sakhile Dlomo – 3:56:37; Xolani Mkhize – 4:03:40; Smakahle Khumalo – 4:22:20; Fanifani Mthembu – 4:29:04; Lindani Vilakazi – 4:30:20; Zanele Mncube – 4:32:12; Thulani Sibiya – 4:34:06; Mzwandile Nxumalo – 4:57:26

Bob Khuzwayo competed in the 42km. It was very humid and he completed in a time of 4:53:00

Three BBAC members competed on a very tough course and produced fantastic results.
