Estcourt golfers compete in trio of competitions

There was plenty of action at Estcourt Golf Club during the past week

On Wednesday, a better ball was played sponsored by Midway Garage. First place went to George van Niekerk and Paul Wagenaar.

Friday’s competition Back 9 individual went to Mr H Ismail junior on 21 points.

Saturday was Skaap Dag with a four ball alliance with two scores to count, sponsored by Colin Francis.

First place on 94 points went to Hennie Pluim, Melton Schiever, Colin Francis and Gail Boettiger. Second place on 83 points went to Harry Koovarjee, Arnold Boettiger, Lional Laatz and Gordon Smith.

Third place on 83 points were Gordon Chotu, Viren Omardath, Kamy Baboolal and DJ Ramdhav. Closest to the pin on number three was M Stander.

Two club on hole seven was won by Gail Boettiger, Colin Francis and Gordon Smith. Two club on hole 16 went to Gail Boettiger.

The jackpot was won by Hennie Pluim, Melton Schiever, Sam Sewsunker, Bruce Titlestad and Cassim Mather on 20 points.
