Golf championships produce upsets

The Club will host an IPS Competition on Workers' Day, May 1, with the Monthly Mug being played on May 4.

This past Saturday and Sunday saw Dundee Golf Club members fighting for the title(s) of Club Champions. Played over two days, Saturday and Sunday, the Championships produced some excellent golf with several upsets.
In the semi-finals of the A Division, Joe Khumalo lost to Scelo Ndlovu while veteran, Billy Francis, rolled back the years to beat all-round sportsman, Dr Sifiso Kunene.
The final was a close affair. With Billy suffering cramps from about number 4, he managed to play all 18 but was beaten by Scelo – well done Scelo!
The B Division was won by the ever-consistent Dion Sadaw with Lorein de Wit taking the ladies division. Well done to all who competed.
