A chance for talented football and netball players to shine
Scouts from AmaZulu FC were at the Oval to keep a close eye on any emerging talent
The annual Nobungani Build It football and netball tournament for under 13s got underway at the Oval on Saturday, preceded by a parade from Build It on Gladstone Street to the sports ground.
Around nine teams competed for the prizes in both categories – R5000 in building material that will go towards any renovations needed at the school.
A team from AmaZulu FC was also in action and played a demonstration game against an Endumeni XI. Ayanda Mkhize, AmaZulu’s chief scout, was also present to keep an eye for any emerging young talent.
Players who caught his eye will get a chance to attend the AmaZulu academy.
