Secunda’s Sasol sinks spirited Highlanders –

Newcastle Boschpick Highlanders were outclassed by Sasol Rugby Club (Secunda) at the Arbor Park Grounds last Saturday (May 15).

The local side had a good start and led 10-0 in the first quarter. However, Sasol hit back with two tries to take a 14-10 half-time lead.

In the second half, said Highlanders coach, Andre Swanepoel, Sasol showed his team how mistakes could be punished. The Secunda visitors would score twice from turnovers to extend the lead.

The game ended in disappointment for Highlanders, with the final score 33-17.
