Golfers ‘spar’ with each other on the course
Warren Smith and Gordan Smith claimed victory on 45 points
The monthly SPAR competition was played on Saturday (March 11).
The better-ball format, played off 85%, proved difficult for a few teams. The winners were Warren Smith and Gordan Smith on 45 points.
In close second, on 44 points, were club captain Melton Schiever and Seo Mtetwa. Third, on 43 points, were Paul Wagenaar and Yarish Goondram.
Sam Sewsunker and Shane Mothilal claimed the final podium position, scoring 41 points on a count-out. Closest to the pin on no. 7 was Shrey Harrynarain.
Two-clubs on the day were carded by: Darren Parker – no. 3, Shane and Sam – no 12, and Gordan Smith – no. 16. The jackpot on 11 points went to Yarish and Paul.
