Another great day on the banks of Wagendrift Dam

Umtshezi Angling Club (UAC) members again braved a wintery morning to cast in their lines at Wagendrift Dam for their penultimate league outing of the season on July 2.
Winter has always been a difficult time to land the ‘big ones’, but UAC members never disappoint.
Kemendran Naidoo took first place with a 2.105kg carp. Second was Ahmed Manack and in third was Dharam Sewraj.
Log standings and overall points are as follows:
In first place is Anesh Sukdea with 111.42 points; second is Dharam Sewraj with 64.46 points; and in third place is Ahmed Manack with 54.7 points.
The club members are looking forward to the final outing, to be held in August, to gain some ground by adding point to their totals.
The club’s awards evening is planned for September.
The new season will then kick off at the end of September and new membership will be open for anyone wanting to join.
