Mark’s Tyres Golf Day success

The new 3 Peaks driving range will be opening soon.

The Mark’s Tyres Golf Day, with a full field of players, was held on Saturday, May 23.

On arrival, you had your golf cart washed by Connors Car Wash. In addition, golfers were treated to a snack and given a golf ball to try their luck hitting a hole-in-one on the 12th to win R100,000. But alas, it eluded all the golfers.

Halfway, the players were treated to a burger and refreshments. Weary golfers were treated to a foot massage after the golf!

There were five two-clubs: Willie Burger, Chris Nel, Gerald Boardman, Trevor Jacobs and Gary Beaton. Nearest the pins: 3rd – Nishkar Suggoo, 8th – Lee Burger, 11th – Trevor Jacobs, and 12th – Enrico Bozza. Longest drive: Lee Burger. Longest putt: Chris Nel. Nearest the Novelty: Marilize van Niekerk.

‘Most Golf’ went to the Swanepoel family from Gauteng.

Winning on an incredible 50 points were Gary Beaton and Gerhard van der Westhuizen; 2nd on 49 (winning the count-out) – Corne Davel and Fran Baleri; 3rd – Trevor Jacobs and Jane Mackenzie; 4th – Rory Sanders and Natalie Boardman; 5th – Marilize van Niekerk and Roy Gibbons.

At the prize-giving, Luke and Lucy Cockroft announced the opening of the new 3 Peaks driving range which will officially open to golfers on June 28.
