#FreshTake – Learn from failure
While trying to learn new things, we may come across disappointments and failures

Quite a few people don’t realise that failure is a part of success and not the total opposite of it.
You may have heard of, or come across a parent who puts way too much pressure on their children not to fail at certain things they partake in. Parents need to help children cope with failure and start seeing it for what it really is, ‘a stepping stone to success.’
Struggling to walk, failing a test or not making that soccer team are just some of the failures children may have to deal with in life.
It’s up to parents not to let that keep their children down, but to encourage them to keep going. If children are not taught how to handle failure well, this will definitely leave them feeling depressed or be the reason they never try out new things in life ever again.
Let your child know failing one task does not make them a failure. The truth is that none of us are born perfect. While trying to learn new things, we may come across disappointments and failures.
Let your child know that failing one task does not make them a failure in general. Giving up and never trying again is what makes one a failure. ‘Winners never quit’
“Winners never quit and quitters never win,” Vince Lombardi.
Make your child understand that some of the best inventions were completed after multiple tries.Choosing not to quit is what will make them a winner in the end.
To be continued.
