Benefits of breast feeding your baby

In celebration of women's month Olivedale Hospital held a breast feeding information day

Olivedale Clinic hosted an informational day on the advantages of breast feeding.

The clinic’s marketing spokesperson Deborah Sieff said, “Breast feeding has many advantages. It lowers your baby’s risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and reduces risk of ovarian cancer as well as osteoporosis.”

“Breast feeding helps protect your child from obesity and Type 1 Diabetes, and prevents your baby developing allergies and illnesses such as diarrhoea and pneumonia.”
