Everyone is invited to Susmit’s birthday

NORTH RIDING - A father is planning a party with a difference.

Susmit Mallick is turning all of one year old on 24 August.

And proud dad Surobinda has planned a birthday bash with a few differences for his youngster.

The first thing is everyone is invited. No, it’s not a joke but there is an innovative catch. “We are going to be celebrating at the Missionary Sisters Of Charity: Mother Theresa Home together with other 45 orphan children. It was my intention from the very first day to not spend money on a birthday party when I could use it for children in need.”

His company has a corporate social initiative department and it was through its efforts he first became aware of the home. “When I visited the home it was obvious that while the children were happy and well cared for, the home needed help.”

He said he had arranged a lot of baby food and other goodies for the children. “Any reader who want to spend a real good time for two or three hours can join me at the home. The children would welcome educational toys, baby food, age appropriate stationary, clothes, blankets, anything you can think of.”

The ages of the children vary from new-born to two-years-old.

Details: Surobinda Mallick 084-779-4036, Missionary Sisters Of Charity: Mother Theresa Home is at 76 St George Street, Bellevue East.
